So how do you give a sample?

Sometimes you might be asked by us to give a sample to be sent away and analysed. The main types of sample are blood samples, urine, sputum, nail clipping, and stool (or faecal) samples. Some will require an appointment – if you are asked to give a blood sample, you will need to see one of our clinicians. But the others should be done at home and then brought to our samples box. At the moment, as we need to control the number of people coming into the practice due to the COVID19 pandemic, please do not just walk in to collect a sample bottle and form, or to drop off a completed sample Please ring the practice and you will be given a time slot to come and pick up or drop off your sample

Here are some tips on how to carry out some of the samples you may have to do.
