Don’t worry if well tell you have pre-diabetes. This is a condition where blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not yet high enough to be classified as diabetes. It is not an illness.
It is estimated that 7 million people in the UK have pre-diabetes. If you are overweight and over 40, you have over 50% chance of getting pre-diabetes.
70% of people with pre-diabetes end up with diabetes.
