Who
Everyone should be registered with a GP. It is a great way to access healthcare services in the UK. We can help managing chronic illnesses, issue medications and make referrals.
People usually register with a practice near where they live. Our practice registers people who live in areas with postcodes TW3, TW4, TW5, and TW7. It’s really easy to become a patient at our practice. All you have to do it complete this form. Simple.
If you live outside this area you find another GP Practice near where you live.
If you are new to the UK, you can still register with a GP. It’s free to use and your immigration status does not affect your right to register with a GP.
If you are away from home, in the UK, for more than 24 hours (but less than 3 months), you can register as a temporary patient near where you’re staying.
How
You don’t have to show us any identification or proof of where you live, when you want to register with an NHS GP. You don’t even have to print out the form. Just wait for our call! We’ll try our best to finish registering you within a week after you send in the form.
We can refuse to register you. If we do, we write to you within 14 days to explain why. We can only say no for a good reason, like if you live too far away.

So, what makes us tick?
We’re Hiyos, which stands for “Healthy in your own skin,” and we’re a GP practice located in Hounslow, West London. We’re all about being innovative and making sure you get top-notch healthcare.
But we’re not your average GP practice. We shake things up by offering all sorts of great stuff, like easy appointment bookings and fun webinars and group events. We even have opportunities for work experience! Our goal? To make sure your healthcare experience is the absolute best it can be. We’re pretty good at doing events and if want to join you can by booking in a face to face event. We can talk you through what it is like to join our practice and a bit about the NHS. We can also do your paperwork and give you a hand if you get stuck.
A bit about us
It takes
1
week
for you to get registered
It usually takes about a week to register with our NHS GP practice. We’re really fortunate to have some amazing people both clinical and admin who all work together to help you not only get all the services you would expect in general practice, but go beyond. We work with other people including hospitals, the council, voluntary sector, locally and nationally.
We work with the best people to bring you the services, if you are a local NHS patient or someone who wants to attend our webinars anywhere at all. You can learn more on our about us page.
New patient experience
The new patient registration experience…
Once you’re all signed up, we’d love to invite you for a special tour of our practice! You can choose to come in person or join us online. These welcome sessions usually happen on Monday afternoon. You can jump in right after you’ve registered, or if you’re still thinking about joining.
Consider it our way of saying a big ‘welcome’ and ‘thank you’ for choosing us! During this session, you’ll get to meet some key members of our team, like a nurse and a GP, in a group setting.
You’ll be with a bunch of other new folks who’ve also registered, and our team will introduce themselves and explain how everything works at our clinic.
It’s a good idea to bring along any documents about medications, vaccines, or medical letters you might have from another country. This helps us understand your existing healthcare needs better and makes sure we can get you sorted as quickly as possible. And hey, if you’ve got something important on your mind to discuss, don’t worry! We’ll guide you on what to do next.
Frequently asked questions
So what happens next?
When you’re filling out the form, it’s super important to make sure all your info is correct. Mistakes like putting in the wrong birthdate or address can slow things down, especially getting your NHS number. If you’re ever unsure or have questions about where your registration stands, just give us a ring. We’ll call you twice, and if we can’t reach you, we’ll leave a voicemail. But if we can’t get in touch, we’ll have to delete the registration, and you’ll have to start over. So, please keep that in mind.
Once your registration is all sorted, we’ll ask if you’re taking any regular medications, your vaccination history, and if you’ve been diagnosed with any health conditions. If you do have meds or a diagnosis, we’ll set you up for a new patient health check. That includes some tests like a blood test, urine test, and checking your blood pressure.
If this is your first time having a GP in the UK, you’ll get a letter in the mail from the health authorities with your NHS number. Make sure to keep that letter safe because you’ll need your NHS number for future visits.
Can I register with you if I don’t live in TW3,TW4, TW5 or TW7?
Unfortunately not. You’ll have to register with a GP practice nearer to where you live. You can use this link to find a NHS GP near you. Just put in your postcode.
Do I need to provide Proof of ID?
No
Do I need to print the registration form out and bring it in?
No, you can just submit it online. Save the trees!
I’m used to a different healthcare system. What is a GP?
A GP also known as a general practitioner is kind of a generalist doctor. Think of them as the gateway to other specialist services. They will be the first to see you, organise tests for you, issue prescriptions for you, and look after you if you have long term conditions. GPs work with a community of different people to help you in the best way possible, these people include clinical pharmacists, healthcare assistants, nurses and non-clinical admin and many more. They try to work in harmony to offer you the best care.
I’ve arrived from abroad, what should I do?
Once you have registered with us online, you can bring your vaccine record, details of medication, and any other medical letter with you to your first appointment.
