We listen, we create, we innovate
We are an NHS GP Practice in West London since 2004. Our expert healthcare professionals have been working closely with patients on innovation projects for the last 12 years. We deliver healthcare innovation. We do this in 3 ways.

Innovation in healthcare
Who
We help patients live healthier lives — we don’t just treat illness, we work on prevention and support wellbeing. We deliver this in 3 ways.
Improved Access
We redesign services and expand flexible options — including extended hours, outreach clinics and digital tools (online booking, e‑consults, remote monitoring) — so patients get timely care with fewer barriers.
Enhanced Patient Experience
We put people first through co‑designed pathways, clear communication, culturally sensitive approaches and staff training in shared decision‑making, so care feels personalised, respectful and empowering.
Better Health Outcomes
We focus on prevention, early detection and evidence‑based interventions This includes screening, risk stratification and behaviour‑change support. We monitor outcomes and feedback to continuously improve care and reduce health inequalities and promote social mobility.
How
We give expert staff protected time to identify service improvements and develop ideas. We partner with other organisations and increasingly work directly with groups of patients and via social media to shape delivery.
Listen
We triangulate data sources and clinical pathways and use social‑media sentiment analysis to understand patient emotions and behaviours.
Create
With a clear problem definition, we co‑create solutions with patients and wider stakeholders using questionnaires, focus groups and project work. This approach underpins our NHS Work Experience programme: volunteers gain practical skills to support employment or university applications while providing vital insights. To date we’ve engaged over 7,000 people face‑to‑face and online.
Innovate
We bring projects to life using digital storytelling—social posts, podcasts, short films and animation—to amplify real voices, boost engagement and support behaviour change.
What are the benefits of innovation?
Patients
In additional to usual general practice, we provide support for patients in groups – small and large. Online and face to face. We also use social media to get messages across in a fun way.
Interestingly, these proactive group events have resulted in a reduction in demand, by 1,700 appointments in a year. Perhaps being proactive can help reduce, rather than increase demand.
Volunteer involvement also delivers clear benefits. Participants gain practical skills, confidence and experience that support career progression. It helps applying to university to securing employment, whilst sharing their valuable insights.
Staff
We have set up our ‘Hiyos Innovation Labs’ where staff are given time to work on projects to improve patient care. We look at data, ask patients, work with partners. Once we have a clear understanding of the problem, we test different ways that we can improve and measure outcome.
This has resulted in lots of new ways of working eg going to schools, setting up a work experience programme. Best of all, staff love it as it they learn new skills and are happier.
